EASTER SUNDAY AGAPE SERVICE GOSPEL READINGS

Agape is the term used to depict the Greek Orthodox Church service held on Easter Day -- the holiest day of the year for Christians. At the Agape Service, excerpts from the Gospel according to St. John are read in several foreign languages by various churchgoers to portray the dissemination of Christ’s Resurrection to all people throughout the world. The readings are from Chapter 20, verses 19-25 and are grouped into three video sections.

The videos were recorded on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Miami, Florida. The readings are in the following languages: Greek, English, Spanish, Latin, Italian, Arabic, Portugeuse, Afrikaans, Zulu, Albanian, and Romanian.
